It's always fun to visit one of my favorite places, Brughs Mill Country Store, Fincastle, Virginia.  Dalton Harper who works at this charming place of business shared this with me, "Mrs. Orr, our customers love your new book, Remembering With The Heart."  Penny Rader, the owner of Brughs Mill Country Store, has a very special display in her lovely store for my books...and for this I am grateful!

In celebration of Black History Month, my colleagues of Reading Is Fundamental of Northern Virginia and myself have been invited to Charles R. Drew Elementary School, Arlington, Virginia to read to students.

Such an honor for my most recent book, "Remembering With The Heart, Stories By America's Finest," to be the recipient of the Mom's Choice Awards highest recognition-"A Gold Award of Excellence."  The storytellers/characters in "Remembering With The Heart," who reside at The Armed Forces Retirement Home, Washington, D.C. are so very proud of this book, and for that I am most grateful!

Introducing My New Book With A Special Tribute To Our Veterans At The Armed Forces Retirement Home!

A very special tribute to our veterans who reside at The Armed Forces Retirement Home (AFRH), Washington Campus, Washington, D.C. was held on Thursday, December 5, 2019 in the Community Center, on the lower level of the Scott Building.  History came alive at this heartfelt evening event, as we introduced our new book, "Remembering With The Heart, Stories by America's Finest."
