Hail And Farewell!

As our Book Club at The Armed Forces Retirement Home, Washington, D.C. bids farewell to one of our avid readers Stan Stewart, we were all excited to "welcome" several new members to our group!

Stan Stewart will be residing at The Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport, Mississippi-he is looking forward to sunny days, fly fishing, visits to an "old stomping ground, New Orleans, and reuniting with colleagues and friends that reside in Gulfport.  When our literacy group began in September of 2017, Stan supported our Book Club and promoted "membership" to the residents of The Armed Forces Home.  We will all miss Stan's dedication and his love of sharing a good book!

Barbara Dannaher and Bernard Roberts recently joined "Glenna's Book Club" and we are glad to have them on board.  Both Barbara and Bernard bring a wealth of knowledge and spunk to our Wednesday afternoon gatherings.

Having recently completed "Undaunted Courage" written by Stephen Ambrose, and "The Forgotten Man, A New History of the Great Depression" written by Amity Shales, our Book Club is beginning to read a John Grisham novel entitled, "The Associate."  Barbara Dannaher recommended our next read, and no doubt the discussions will be lively and thought provoking!

Most grateful,
